RRTS (आरआरटीएस) ट्रेन

RRTS (Regional Rapid Transport System) Train is a new dedicated, high speed, high capacity and comfortable commuter service connecting all the cities in Delhi-NCR region. This service is different from railways as it will ensure travel at high speed along dedicated path. This service is also different from metro service as it can complete a long-distance journey at high speed with less station. On an average where the speed of Metro Rail is 32 KMPH, the average speed of RRTS train will be 100 KMPH.

The RRTS train has been constructed with stainless steel keeping in mind the environment-friendly, air pollution-free, congestion reduction, accidents reduction and accelerating economic growth. The maximum speed of this train will be 180 KMPH.

The train will have 4 automatic wide doors (3 each side) for general class while 4 doors (2 each side) for business class, overhead luggage rack, mobile/laptop charger, with Wi-Fi and many more. This entire vehicle will be air-conditioned. Each coach will have a seating capacity according to 2X2 seats. Apart from this, there will be Grab handles and poles with wide corridors for standing passengers. These trains will be constructed by Bombardier in Salvi, Gujarat. These trains will be fully indigenously built (MAKE IN INDIA).

There are 8 routes have been selected for this journey.

• Delhi - Ghaziabad - Meerut
• Delhi - Gurugram - Alwar
• Delhi - Panipat
• Delhi- Faridabad - Palwal
• Ghaziabad - Khurja
• Delhi - Bahadurgarh - Rohtak
• Ghaziabad - Hapur
• Delhi - Shahdara - Barout

In the first phase, work will be done on Delhi - Ghaziabad - Meerut, Delhi - Gurugram - Alwar, Delhi - Panipat route, where the road from Delhi to Meerut is completed in 3-4 hours. After this train, the same distance will be completed in just 60 minutes. It is expected that work will start on this route by 2023 and by 2025, this route will be fully ready.

RRTS will run 30 trains with 4 cars set for the operation of the entire route on this area and 10 trains with 3 cars for local operations in Meerut.

इस ट्रेन में ६ स्वचालित चौड़े दरवाजे (३ प्रत्येक साइड) सामान्य वर्ग के लिए जबकि बिज़नेस क्लास के लिए ४ दरवाजे ( २ प्रत्येक साइड ), ओवरहेड सामान रैक, मोबाइल/लैपटॉप चार्जर, वाई-फाई के साथ और कई सुविधा होंगी | यह पूरी गाडी वातानुकूलित होगी | प्रत्येक कोच में २X२ की सीट के हिसाब से बैठने की सुविधा होगी| इसके अलावा खड़े होने वाले यात्रिओं के लिए चौड़े गलियारे के साथ ग्रैब हैंडल और डंडे लगे होंगे | इन ट्रेनों का निर्माण गुजरात के साल्वी में Bombardier के द्वारा किया जायेगा | ये ट्रेन पूरी तरह से स्वदेशी निर्मित (MAKE IN INDIA) होंगी | 

इस यात्रा के लिए अभी ८ रूट का चयन किया गया है | 

• दिल्ली - गाज़ियाबाद - मेरठ 
• दिल्ली - गुरुग्राम - अलवर 
• दिल्ली - पानीपत 
• दिल्ली- फरीदाबाद - पलवल 
• गाज़ियाबाद - खुर्जा 
• दिल्ली - बहादुरगढ़ - रोहतक 
• गाज़ियाबाद - हापुड़ 
• दिल्ली - शहादरा - बड़ौत 

पहले फेज में दिल्ली - गाज़ियाबाद - मेरठ , दिल्ली - गुरुग्राम - अलवर, दिल्ली - पानीपत रूट पर काम किया जायेगा अभी जहाँ दिल्ली से मेरठ की दुरी सड़क मार्ग से ३-४ घंटे में पूरी होती है | इस ट्रेन के बाद वही दूरी मात्र ६० मिनट में पूरी हो जाएगी |  उम्मीद है कि २०२३ तक इस रूट पर काम शुरू होगा और लगभग २०२५ तक ये रूट पूरी तरह से तैयार हो जायेगा | 

इस क्षेत्र पर पुरे रूट के संचालन के लिए आरआरटीएस ६ कार सेट वाली ३० ट्रेन और मेरठ में स्थानीय संचालन के लिए ३ कार वाली १० ट्रेन चलाएगा |
