Coach and Train Type in Indian Railways (भारतीय रेलवे में कोच और ट्रेनों के प्रकार)

As all of you know that Indian Railways is the fourth-largest rail network in the world. Indian Railways runs more than 13,523 trains daily on including long-distance and suburban routes. These trains have different types of coaches. Do you know how many types of coaches Indian railway runs in all these trains? Let's have a look.

Indian Railways runs 12 types of coaches which are called a class. 

Saloon Coach (Saloon) - Saloon Coaches will you the feeling of the Five Star Hotel ambience. These coaches are known as "Home on Wheel". These coaches will have a master bedroom, a normal bedroom, one kitchen also. These coaches are operated on a charter basis. At first, these coaches were used on Jammu Mail (Delhi to Jammu).

Vistadome Coach (Vistadome) - These coaches are designed with a large glass window and roof with rotatable seats to provide customers with good observations of outside views near the surrounding. These coaches were added on tourist route i.e. Kalka-Shimla, Kashmir valley, Kangra valley and Mathern. These coaches are equivalent to AC Executive coaches.

AC First Class (1A) - This class is the most luxurious and expensive class on the Indian railway. The fare of this class is equal to Airfare. This Sleeper AC class is having a Coupe (2 berths, one upper and One Lower) and a Cabin ( four berths 2 uppers and 2 lower) Each Coupe/Cabin has a separate door that can be locked from inside. This coach has an attendant also. This coach can carry18 passengers along.

AC TwoTier (2A) - These AC Sleeper coaches having 4 berths in the cabin (2 uppers and 2 lower) and 2 berths lengthwise (One Lower and One Upper) in the corridor. This coach can carry 48 passengers in all.

AC Three Tier (3A) - This Sleeper AC Coach carries 64 or 72 berths similar to 2 AC Tire. 64 berths in IFC coaches and 72 berths in LHB coaches. 6 berths in the cabin (2 uppers, 2 middle and 2 lower) and 2 berths lengthwise (One Lower and One Upper) in the corridor. 

AC Three Tire Economy (3E) - This Sleeper AC Coach carries 81 berths similar to 2 AC Tire. 6 berths in the cabin (2 uppers, 2 middle and 2 lower) and 3 berths lengthwise (One Lower, One middle and One Upper) in the corridor. These coaches are being used in Garib Rath trains only. 

Sleeper Class (SL) - This non AC sleeper coach is a very common coach. This the Lowest type of coach is in Indian Railway. This coach carries 72 berths similar to 2 AC Tire. 6 berths in the cabin (2 uppers, 2 middle and 2 lower) and 2 berths lengthwise (One Lower and One Upper) in the corridor. In Duranto train it can be 80. You can find numbers of these caches are 10 or more than 10 in each long-distance train. 

Anubhuti Class (EA) - This AC coach is the top class highest class of Shatabdi train. The seat Segment in this class is seating only but will give you a feeling of Air Class executive type. These seats have a tv type of entertainment set. These coaches started commercially in Chennai- Mysur Shatabi in Jan 2018. 

Executive Chair Car (EC) - This Ac coach is also a chair car only with a spacious seat and legroom. There are four seats in a row like Anubhuti class. These coaches are being used in Shatabdi, Teja, Intercity and Double Decker trains.

AC Chair car (CC) - This AC coach is having Five seats in a row (3+2). These are lower cost fare for Shatabdi or other trains. In the old model coached had (3+3) seats and the new model are having (3+2) seats. In the same segment, double-decker coaches are also there which are being used in double-decker trains only. These new model coaches having 2 decks (Lower Deck and Upper Deck). 

Second Seater (2S) - This non AC coach is similar to an AC chair car. In this segment also a double-decker concept you will get and which is being used only in Mumbai-Surat Flying Ranee Super Fast Express.

Unreserved/General Coaches (UR/GEN) - This Non AC coach is the lowest fare coach without a seat reservation, are being used in all long-distance trains. The Tickets for this class on any train is valid within 24 hours of the purchase of train departure.

Premium (160 KMPH - 200 KMPH) - GATIMAN Express, VANDE BHARAT Express and TEJAS Express

Premium Trains - AC Express, AC Double Decker Express, Garib Rath Express, Shatabdi Express, Humsafar Express, Duronto Express.

Other Express Trains - Sampark Kranti, Yuva Express, Intercity Express, Jan Shatabdi, Express, Swarn Jayanti Express, Suvidha Express.

Fully Non AC Unreserved - Jansadharan Express and Antyodaya Express

Luxury Trains - Village on Wheels, Golden Chariot, Palace on Wheel, Maharaj Express, Royal Orient, Deccan Odyssey, Fairy Queen, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Mahaparinirvan Express

Specials Trains - Lifeline Express, Science Express, Promotions on Wheel, Red Ribbon Express

जैसा कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि भारतीय रेलवे दुनिया का चौथा सबसे बड़ा रेल नेटवर्क है। भारतीय रेलवे लंबी दूरी और उपनगरीय मार्गों सहित प्रतिदिन 13,523 से अधिक ट्रेनें चलाता है। इन ट्रेनों में विभिन्न प्रकार के कोच होते हैं। क्या आप जानते हैं कि इन सभी भारतीय रेलवे के ट्रेनों में कितने प्रकार के कोच होते हैं? चलो देखते हैं।

भारतीय रेलवे इन ट्रेनों में 12 प्रकार के कोच चलाता है जिन्हें एक क्लास कहा जाता है।

सैलून कोच (सैलून) - सैलून कोच में आप फाइव स्टार होटल के माहौल का अहसास करेंगे। इन कोचों को "होम ऑन व्हील" के रूप में जाना जाता है। इन कोचों में एक मास्टर बेडरूम, एक सामान्य बेडरूम, एक किचन भी होगा। ये कोच चार्टर आधार पर संचालित होते हैं। पहले, इन डिब्बों का उपयोग जम्मू मेल (दिल्ली से जम्मू) पर किया जाता था।

विस्टाडोम कोच (विस्टाडोम) - इन कोचों को एक बड़ी कांच की खिड़की और छत के साथ डिजाइन किया गया है, जो यात्रियों को आसपास के बाहर के दृश्यों के अच्छे अवलोकन प्रदान करने के लिए रोटेटेबल सीटों के साथ बनाया गया है। इन कोचों को पर्यटक मार्ग यानी कालका-शिमला, कश्मीर घाटी, कांगड़ा घाटी और मैथर्न में जोड़ा गया था। ये कोच एसी के कार्यकारी कोच के बराबर हैं।

एसी फर्स्ट क्लास (1 ए) - यह क्लास भारतीय रेलवे पर सबसे शानदार और महंगी क्लास है। इस वर्ग का किराया एयरफेयर के बराबर है। इस स्लीपर एसी क्लास में एक कूप (2 बर्थ, एक अपर और वन लोअर) और एक केबिन (चार बर्थ 2 अप्पर और 2 लोअर) होते हैं। प्रत्येक कूप / केबिन में एक अलग दरवाजा होता है जिसे अंदर से बंद किया जा सकता है। इस कोच में एक अटेंडेंट भी है। यह कोच 18 यात्रियों को साथ ले जा सकता है।

AC TwoTier (2A) - ये स्लीपर Ac के केबिन में 4 बर्थ (2 uppers और 2 लोअर) और 2 बर्थ लंबाई (वन लोअर और वन अपर) वाले कोच हैं। यह कोच सभी में 48 यात्रियों को ले जा सकता है।

एसी थ्री टियर (3 ए) - यह स्लीपर एसी कोच 2 एसी टायर के समान 64 या 72 बर्थ को कैरी करता है। IFC कोच में 64 बर्थ और LHB कोच में 72 बर्थ हैं। केबिन में 6 बर्थ (2 अपराह्न, 2 मध्य और 2 निचले) और गलियारे में 2 बर्थ लंबाई (एक निचला और एक ऊपरी)।

एसी थ्री टायर इकोनॉमी (3 ई) - यह स्लीपर एसी कोच 2 एसी टायर के समान 81 बर्थ ले जाता है। केबिन में 6 बर्थ (2 अपराह्न, 2 मध्य और 2 निचले) और गलियारे में 3 बर्थ लंबाई (एक निचला, एक मध्य और एक ऊपरी)। इन कोचों का इस्तेमाल गरीब रथ ट्रेनों में ही किया जा रहा है।

स्लीपर क्लास (SL) - यह नॉन एसी स्लीपर कोच एक बहुत ही सामान्य कोच है। भारतीय रेलवे में यह सबसे निम्न प्रकार का कोच है। यह कोच 2 एसी टायर के समान 72 बर्थ ले जाता है। केबिन में 6 बर्थ (2 अपराह्न, 2 मध्य और 2 निचले) और गलियारे में 2 बर्थ लंबाई (एक निचला और एक ऊपरी)। लेकिन दोरंतो में यह संख्या ८० तक होती है | आप पा सकते हैं कि हर लंबी दूरी की ट्रेन में इन डिब्बों की संख्या 10 या 10 से अधिक होती है।

अनुभूति क्लास (ईए) - यह एसी कोच शताब्दी ट्रेन का शीर्ष श्रेणी का उच्चतम वर्ग है। इस वर्ग में सीट सेगमेंट केवल बैठे हैं, लेकिन आपको एयर क्लास के कार्यकारी प्रकार का एहसास देंगे। इन सीटों पर एक टीवी प्रकार का मनोरंजन सेट है। इन कोचों ने वाणिज्यिक रूप से चेन्नई - मैसूर शताब्दी में जनवरी 2018 में शुरू किया गया ।

एक्जीक्यूटिव चेयर कार (ईसी) - यह एसी कोच भी एक कुर्सी कार है जिसमें केवल एक विशाल सीट और लेगरूम है। अनुभूति वर्ग की तरह एक पंक्ति में चार सीटें हैं। इन डिब्बों का इस्तेमाल शताब्दी, तेजस , इंटरसिटी और डबल डेकर ट्रेनों में किया जा रहा है।

एसी चेयर कार (CC) - इस एसी कोच में एक पंक्ति में पांच सीटें (3 + 2) हैं। ये शताब्दी या अन्य ट्रेनों का किराया कम है। पुराने मॉडल में (3 + 3) सीटें थीं और नए मॉडल में (3 + 2) सीटें थीं। इसी सेगमेंट में डबल डेकर कोच भी हैं, जिनका इस्तेमाल डबल डेकर ट्रेनों में ही किया जा रहा है। इन नए मॉडल के डिब्बों में 2 डेक (लोअर डेक और अपर डेक) होते हैं।

दूसरा सीटर (2S) - यह नॉन एसी कोच एसी चेयर कार के समान है। इस सेगमेंट में आपको एक डबल डेकर कॉन्सेप्ट भी मिलेगा और जिसका उपयोग केवल मुंबई-सूरत फ्लाइंग रनी सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस में किया जा रहा है।

अनारक्षित / सामान्य कोच (UR / GEN) - यह नॉन एसी कोच बिना सीट आरक्षण के सबसे कम किराया कोच है, जिसका उपयोग लंबी दूरी की सभी ट्रेनों में किया जा रहा है। ट्रेन प्रस्थान के 24 घंटे के भीतर किसी भी ट्रेन में इस श्रेणी के टिकट वैध हैं।
