The Maharaja's Express train is the most luxurious tourist train in the World and owned and operated by Indian Railway. This train has grabbed the most luxurious train award from the World Travel Award 2012 to 2018 continuous seven years. In 2011, This train has received the first runner-up award in the specialist Train operators category at the Conde Nast Travelers Reader Choice travel award.

This luxury train Maharaja's Express is started in March 2010. This train has so many amenities such as Wifi, Bathroom, LCD Televisions, Direct Dial phones, Internet, DVD player, Electronic safes, Dining Cars, Bar, Lounge and Souvenir shop. These cabins have baths and spacious sitting rooms.
Maharaja's Express carries up to 24 carriages which include accommodation, bar, lounge, generators and store cars. The accommodation is available for 84 passengers in 14 carriages. Rajah Club with a private bar is a lounge of this train.
These 14 carriers have 43 individual cabins providing seating and sleeping capacity for 88 guests. There are 20 deluxe cabins, 18 junior suites, 4 suites and a presidential suite with an attached bathtub and toilet. The presidential suite of Maharaja's Express is the first rail carriage with uses like world kind.
Maharaj's Express is having 2 dines car in the entire train with a seating capacity of 42 each so all passengers can seat together. These 2 restaurants are named as Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal. The menus of the restaurant are traditional Indian cuisines along with continental, Chinese and International cuisines.
Rajath Club is one dedicated bar carriage that offers wine, liquors, spirits and beers with snacks and starters.
