World's First Hospital on Train - Lifeline Express (दुनिया की पहली अस्पताल ट्रेन - जीवन रेखा एक्सप्रेस)

Lifeline Express is a train but not a train its a running hospital train. This is not only India's but the world's first hospital train. This train is started on 16th July 1991. This train was started with the collaboration of the Indian Railway, Health Ministry and Impact India Foundation (IIF). This train is getting funded by multiple sources i.e. Charitable trusts, Indian  Corporates and individuals as well. 

This train was started with an objective to provide treatments to the people where the medical facilities not available for people. This train provides much-needed services to the people with the support of the local authority & Government to encourage the programs after train leaving the stations once service is done in that area.

In the past 20 years of work, the Lifeline train has completed more than 100 projects. Currently, this train has 2 Operations theatres, 5 Operating tables, sterilizing room, a patient ward, a room for medical supplies along with other medical facilities.  Below treatment services are being offered in Lifeline Trains

All the coaches in the trains are airconditioned. In 2007 Indian Railway provides new 5 coaches to addon more facilities/services. One coach is a power coach with a staff compartment and pantry area. The staff compartment has 12 berths with a Pantry having, Gas Stove, Oven, Refrigerator and a water purifier. The second Coach is having a Medical store, two autoclave unit, a drawing-room. The train has an operation theatre with three operating tables. Also, a second self-contained operating theatre with 2 tables. This coach is having 6 beds recovery room also. operations theatre is attached with a circuit television camera which helps local doctors to understand the operations procedures.

Currently, this train spends three to five weeks on a project. In a single project, it serves around 5000 people. On each stop of a project, local villagers and non Government organizations provide helps to trains i.e. Food, laundry services, Crowd Control etc.

लाइफलाइन एक्सप्रेस एक ट्रेन है, लेकिन एक ट्रेन नहीं है जो एक चलित अस्पताल ट्रेन है। यह भारत की ही नहीं बल्कि दुनिया की पहली अस्पताल ट्रेन है। यह ट्रेन 16 जुलाई 1991 को शुरू की गई थी। इस ट्रेन को भारतीय रेलवे, स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय और इम्पैक्ट इंडिया फाउंडेशन (IIF) के सहयोग से शुरू किया गया था। यह ट्रेन कई स्रोतों यानी चैरिटेबल ट्रस्टों, भारतीय कॉरपोरेट्स और व्यक्तियों द्वारा भी वित्त पोषित हो रही है।

यह ट्रेन लोगों को उपचार प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गई थी जहाँ लोगों के लिए चिकित्सा सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध नहीं थीं। यह ट्रेन स्थानीय प्राधिकरण और सरकार के सहयोग से लोगों को बहुत आवश्यक सेवाएँ प्रदान करती है, ताकि उस क्षेत्र में एक बार सेवा करने के बाद स्टेशनों को छोड़ने के बाद कार्यक्रमों को प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके।

पिछले 20 वर्षों के काम में, लाइफलाइन ट्रेन ने 100 से अधिक परियोजनाओं को पूरा किया है। वर्तमान में, इस ट्रेन में 2 ऑपरेशन थिएटर, 5 ऑपरेटिंग टेबल, स्टरलाइज़िंग रूम, एक रोगी वार्ड, चिकित्सा आपूर्ति के लिए एक कमरा और अन्य चिकित्सा सुविधाएं हैं। लाइफलाइन ट्रेनों में नीचे उपचार सेवाएं दी जा रही हैं

ट्रेनों में सभी कोच वातानुकूलित हैं। 2007 में भारतीय रेलवे ने अधिक सुविधाओं / सेवाओं को जोड़ने के लिए नए 5 कोच प्रदान किए। एक कोच एक कर्मचारी डिब्बे और पेंट्री क्षेत्र के साथ एक शक्ति कोच है। स्टाफ कंपार्टमेंट में एक पेंट्री, गैस स्टोव, ओवन, रेफ्रिजरेटर और एक जल शोधक के साथ 12 बर्थ हैं। दूसरे कोच में एक मेडिकल स्टोर, दो आटोक्लेव यूनिट, एक ड्राइंग-रूम है। ट्रेन में तीन ऑपरेटिंग टेबल के साथ एक ऑपरेशन थियेटर है। इसके अलावा, 2 तालिकाओं के साथ एक दूसरा आत्म-निहित ऑपरेटिंग थियेटर। इस कोच में 6 बेड का रिकवरी रूम भी है। ऑपरेशन थियेटर एक सर्किट टेलीविजन कैमरा से जुड़ा हुआ है जो स्थानीय डॉक्टरों को संचालन प्रक्रियाओं को समझने में मदद करता है।

वर्तमान में, यह ट्रेन एक परियोजना पर तीन से पांच सप्ताह खर्च करती है। एक एकल परियोजना में, यह लगभग 5000 लोगों की सेवा करता है। किसी परियोजना के प्रत्येक पड़ाव पर, स्थानीय ग्रामीण और गैर सरकारी संगठन रेलगाड़ियों को सहायता प्रदान करते हैं यानी भोजन, कपड़े धोने की सेवाएं, भीड़ नियंत्रण आदि।
